Urban Game Design Workshop at the ZHDK, Zürich

R-objects was led by Nadine Kuhla von Bergmann (Creative Climate Cities) and Viktor Bedö (Tacit Dimension) in the framework of the Resourcing Design workshop series by ZHDK Master for Arts in Design, February 2014.

The density of resources in urban areas unleashes great potential to create bottom-up smart cities. In city centres hard and soft infrastructure required for the use and exchange of resources is mostly unconsciously used or is covered up by layers of urban fabric. What are the hidden unique resources of our urban environments? How do we experience the accessibility and scarcity of urban resources? How do we as citizens provide, access and modify urban infrastructures? The workshop explored these questions by combining game design with urban design strategies.
