Innovative Business Development for Climate Action

Creative Climate Cities supported the rainwater agency of Berlin "Berliner Regenwasseragentur" by conducting a "Creative Strategy Retreat" in April 2019. The methodological approach and team-building workshop aimed at reviewing the achievements, barriers and enablers to reach their goals and co-create efficient strategies for their implementation.

Based on the shared vision of the team members and the service design tools applied by CCC, an agile management tool for a medium-term work plan was developed to increase the impact and to streamline available resources of the rainwater agency.

The Berliner Regenwasseragentur launched in May 2018 as a joint initiative of the State of Berlin and Berliner Wasserbetriebe (Berlin’s water utility company). The “Berlin Rainwater Agency” supports the state of Berlin in water-sensitive urban planning, through information, consulting and qualification services, the cooperative development of implementation strategies and assistance in the implementation of a green-roof funding programme (1000-Grüne-Dächer-Programm).
