New Infrastructures for a Circular City

The project "Looping Toilets" illuminates the potential of circular infrastructure in public spaces through the example of public restrooms. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of circular potentials in cities and to initiate changes towards livable and resource-efficient environments.

Building on the everyday infrastructure of public toilets, alternative concepts such as dry toilets, vertical plant walls, and integrated biochar filters were analyzed for their circular and design potential in public spaces. Let's get Circular by Design!

Creative Climate Cities has developed various informational formats to present the project results and raise awareness of the topic. These include a speculative picture and a dynamic storytelling format. These formats help to convey the significance and potential of circular infrastructures in urban spaces to a broad audience.
