Smart Sustainable District Green Moabit
Process Design and Stakeholder Management
Moabit West has become a case study for a “Smart Sustainable District“ due to its extensive catalog of measures from the Urban Development Concept (StEK) Green Moabit and the active networks of citizen and entrepreneurial initiatives.
The founder of CCC, Nadine Kuhla von Bergmann, acted as project lead from March 2015 - December 2017 and secured the funding and partner support. Integrated neighbourhood solutions were developed in Moabit West with the participation of more than 120 stakeholders including the district of Mitte, the enterprise network, district management, municipal utilities and European experts and local citizens.
The implementation of the demonstrator projects is being continued outside of the university and is funded by the KfW National Funding Programme.
