The Smart City Solutions (SCL) serve as a showcase and practical aid for local authorities, enabling access to knowledge from the Smart Cities model projects, funded by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction (BMWSB). The aim of the online database is to present complex digital solutions in a comprehensible and structured manner and to promote the exchange of experience between local authorities.

Creative Climate Cities (CCC) developed the concept for the systematic preparation of municipal digitisation solutions and compiles structured profiles for the respective projects. In these profiles, we document implementation steps, technological foundations and organisational framework conditions for model applications, including projects such as urban data platforms, smart city apps and urban digital twins. In addition, the profiles highlight urban development policy and spatial impacts and provide impetus for scaling and further development in other municipal contexts.

The smart city solutions thus offer a practice-oriented tool for strategic orientation and operational implementation of digital urban development.
